This album was noteworthy for more than the cover!!! The Tijuana Brass was a wonderful instrumental group from the 60's. This is way before Latin music became so popular 30 years later. The music is "happy" and is capable of lifting even the saddest mood on someone. A Taste of Honey is a wonderful melody with great percussion and a driving force in it. Not that many other songs have such staying power. One of the other songs from the Tijuana Brass was used on the Dating Game, not from this album! They did cover other songs from the 60's, notably Love Potion #9 which has a nice dragging beat to it. It almost sounds like a striptease! It is very entertaining and diverting. Tangerine and Lollipops and Roses are two other songs that are memorable in their styling. It is a short album by today's standards but if you are into "retro" music that still sounds contemporary, buy it!
